Runs & Approval Chains
Once workflows are live, operational oversight shifts to the Runs dashboard. This central command center provides real-time telemetry, step-by-step diagnostic inspection, and human-in-the-loop review mechanisms.
1. Process Observability & Runs Telemetry
The Runs table displays every execution across all workflows, offering filters by:
- Execution Status: Active, Completed, Failed, Pending Approval, or Archived.
- Workflow Domain: Customer Onboarding, Staff Check-In, Vendor Onboarding, or Custom.
- Date Range & Search: Search by applicant name, reference ID, email, or identifier.
Process Status Lifecycle
2. In-Depth Run Diagnostics
Clicking on any run opens the Process Details View, offering deep-dive inspection tools:
Live Process Timeline
An interactive visual breakdown of every step executed:
- Node Duration: Execution latency for each API call or user action.
- Status Badges: Instant visibility into which nodes passed, retried, or were bypassed.
- Input / Output Drawer: Inspect data payloads sent to and returned by third-party registries.
Geographic Map Visualization
For check-in and attendance workflows:
- Displays an interactive map plotting the employee's captured GPS coordinates against the authorized facility location.
- Highlights geofence boundary radii and flags out-of-bounds attempts.
Verification & Biometric Viewer
- High-Resolution Document Inspection: Examine front and back ID scans, detected security features, and extracted OCR text.
- Facial Comparison: Side-by-side view comparing the live selfie against the official identity card or registry photo, complete with confidence scores.
Corporate Hierarchy & Discovered Officers
For business verification flows with corporate fan-outs:
- Lists all discovered company directors, shareholders, and beneficial owners.
- Displays individual sub-workflow statuses and automated reminder history for each person.
3. Human-in-the-Loop: Approval Chains
Full automation is powerful, but high-risk anomalies, watchlist matches, or ambiguous biometric captures require human judgment.
How Approval Chains Work
- Triggering a Review: When a node detects an anomaly (e.g., an AML sanctions hit, a borderline face match score, or an expired document), the workflow halts its auto-progression and transitions to Pending Approval.
- Team & Role Routing: The approval request is routed to a designated team or tier:
- Tier 1 Support: First-line verification review.
- Level 2 Compliance: Sanctions and PEP investigation.
- Operations: Vendor contract sign-offs.
- Review Actions: Authorized officers can:
- Approve: Overrides the flag and resumes the workflow to completion.
- Reject: Formally terminates the process with an audit rejection code.
- Request More Information: Prompts the applicant via email to provide supplemental documentation.
- Permanent Audit Trail: All officer comments, decision timestamps, and approval actions are permanently logged in the Compliance Audit Logs for regulatory inspection.
Escalation to Case Management
If an approval review indicates potential fraud or complex financial crime, officers can escalate the execution directly into the Case Management workspace. This assigns a dedicated investigation case with evidence binders, notes, and collaborative checklists.
